French Tip Hack: If You Can’t Freehand, Read This
Let’s be honest.
Freehanding a French tip sounds simple… until you try it.
One hand looks fine.
The other suddenly forgets how to function.
If you’ve ever wiped it off three times and called it a day — we get it.
But here’s something else we kept hearing.
Some of you loved our French tip semi-cured gel strips… but wanted more control.
- A different base colour
- A thinner (or thicker) line
- A higher smile line
- Something more custom
And that makes sense.
Sometimes you don’t want a pre-designed tip. You want to design it yourself.
Just without the stress of freehanding.
The Hack: Control Without Freehand
Curve + Create gives you the shape — but you control everything else.
You choose:
- Your base colour (compatible with any of our gel nail strips)
- Your tip colour (Gold, Silver or White)
- Your line width
- Your curve height
- How subtle or bold you go
It’s structured… but still custom.
How To Create Your French Tip
Step 1: Apply Your Base
Apply your LA-BEK strip or chosen base colour and cure fully. Here we have gone with Transparent Pink.
Yes — fully cure first. This matters.
Step 2: Place the Tape
Position Curve + Create tape where you’d like your smile line to sit.
Press it down firmly — especially along the edges. (Our tweezers sealing tip makes this part easy.)
Step 3: Paint Your Tip
Apply your chosen colour (our liner gels are perfect for precision).
Thin, controlled layer.
You’re defining the line width here — not guessing it.
Step 4: Peel Before Curing
Gently peel away the tape while the polish is still wet (This is the satisfying part).
Cure under your lamp.
Optional: Seal the Look
After curing your tip, finish with one of our top coats.
Choose gloss for that classic shine, or velvet for a softer, modern finish.
It adds extra hold — and gives your French tip that polished, salon-level finish.
