This program allows you to collect your La-Bek waste and send it back to us to be recycled through TerraCycle®. It’s just one more way we’re committing to sustainability, without compromising on beautiful nails.
Why We’re Doing This The beauty industry has a serious waste problem, and semi-cured gel nails are no exception. But with small changes, we can do better. This is just one of the ways we’re reducing waste, rethinking packaging, and committing to a more sustainable future.

Collect
Collect your used La-Bek packaging (see below for what’s accepted).
Store
Store it in one of our resealable mailers (they have a second seal strip so you can reuse them!)
Post
Post it back to us at:

- Protective film from nail strips
- The black slip packaging the strips come in
- Backing sheet from nail strips
- Empty cuticle oil pens
- The clear plastic slip from our file/cuticle tool packs
- Used nail strips, Nail files or cuticle tools (these are considered contaminated waste and cannot be processed)
- Prep pads (these are being phased out)
- Any non-La-Bek branded items
If you have leftover nail strips that you won’t be using, you can include them in your return — but we strongly encourage you to use them up instead! Strips can be trimmed, stretched, shared with friends or used on your toes.

How Long Do Gel Nail Wraps Last?
The wear time of gel nail wraps depends on the type of wrap and how they are applied.
Generally:
Semi-cured wraps: up to 2+ weeks wear
UV-free wraps: several days to around a week depending on lifestyle
Proper nail prep and correct sizing can significantly improve wear time.
Are Gel Nail Wraps Safe for Natural Nails?
When applied and removed correctly, gel nail wraps are designed to be gentle on natural nails.
Unlike some salon gel systems, they do not require:
• drilling
• heavy filing
• harsh acetone soaking
Removal is typically done using cuticle oil and gentle lifting, which helps protect the nail plate. This makes them a popular option for people looking to maintain healthier natural nails.
Gel Nail Wraps vs Press-On Nails
Although they may look similar at first, gel nail wraps work very differently from press-on nails.
Press-on nails are plastic nail extensions that are glued on top of the natural nail.
Gel nail wraps are thin layers of real gel polish applied directly to the nail surface.
Because of this, gel wraps usually feel:
• lighter
• more flexible
• more natural
They also move with the natural nail instead of sitting on top like a false nail.
