Pinterest Spring Nails 2026: The Looks Everyone's Saving

If your Pinterest feed looks anything like ours, it's currently a mix of polka dots, jade greens and soft, petal-coloured everything, and you've probably already saved a few. Spring 2026 nails are leaning playful again after a quiet winter. More colour, more pattern, a little more fun with mixing things up. The looks getting saved right now aren't one single trend either, it's a real spread, so we've pulled out the six we're seeing everywhere and the LA-BEK shades that get you there at home. ย  1. Polka Dots, Everywhere Polka dots are having a genuine moment on Pinterest this season, searches for the look are up well over 2,000%. Not the bold, retro kind either, it's softer than that: fine dots scattered over a sheer or pale base, almost like confetti. It's a surprisingly easy trend to wear, and we've genuinely got a polka dot lineup for it. Pink Drop is the classic take, fine silver foil dots scattered over a pale blush-pink base. Prefer no lamp? Cream Drop gives you the same retro polka dot look in our UV-Free range, peel and press, no curing required. For something a little more modern, Polka Dot Tide fades from soft grey to dusty lilac with dots scattered right through it, and Pink Speckle gives you that same scattered, flecked finish in a warmer pink. Shop Polka Dot Nail Wraps ย  ย  2. Jade Greens and Botanical Tones Green is back in a big way. Pinterest's seeing jade marble nails spike over 400%, and there's a broader "get me outside" mood driving searches for leafy, botanical shades. This is a genuinely strong section of our range. Secret Garden is the statement pick, glittering botanical illustrations across a deep black base. For something quieter, Olive is a muted, grown-up green that works for everyday wear, and Pistachio goes paler and softer again. Prefer no lamp? Sea Foam Green brings the same fresh green tone to our UV-Free range. Shop Green Nail Wraps ย  ย  3. Soft Petal Pastels Alongside all the colour and pattern, there's a quieter trend running underneath it: soft, feminine pastels. Think petal pink and warm cream rather than anything candy-bright, the kind of shade that reads polished rather than sweet. Soft Pink is our most-loved everyday version of this, an ultra-sheer, barely-there blush. Pink Pearl adds a fine shimmer for a bit more polish, and Peach Sunday brings in a warmer, sheer peach if pink's not quite your shade. Strawberry Milkshake is the slightly deeper, creamier option if you want a touch more colour. Shop Soft Pink Nail Wraps ย  ย  4. Balletcore: Ballet Slipper Nails This is the trend with its own name, and it's a big one. Balletcore's back, a little grittier than the tulle-and-cardigans version from a few years ago, but the nails have gone softer than ever: Pinterest's seeing record saves on nude, ballet-slipper pink right now, sometimes with a bow or ribbon worked in. Three ways we'd wear it. Ballet Ribbons is the easiest way in, a soft mauve-taupe with a rose-gold shimmer nail running through the set, finished with a fine hand-drawn bow. Ballet Blush keeps it plain and glossy if you want the trend without any shimmer or pattern at all (this one's currently out of stock on our end, so hold off linking it until it's back). And for the dressier version, Sparkling French Rosรฉ with a Mini Bows Nail Art Decal pressed above the smile line gives you the French-tip-plus-bow look that's all over Pinterest right now. Shop Ballet Blush Shades ย  5. Cool Blue Carries Into Spring Winter's biggest colour isn't going anywhere. Pinterest's calling cool blue the shade that "transcends seasons" in 2026, and it's easy to see why, it works just as well against spring's brighter palette as it did against knits and coats. Navy Pool is the deep, glossy option if you want real depth. Azure Tide is the standout for spring specifically, a blue and pink marble laced with gold, it's genuinely one of the prettiest ways to wear this trend (it's a newer shade and stock is limited, so don't wait too long if it catches your eye). Want it softer? Periwinkle sits right between blue and lilac, all the coolness of blue without going full navy. If you'd rather skip the lamp, Sea Glass gives you a softer, shimmery aqua blue. Shop Blue Nail Wraps ย  ย  6. Mismatched Manis This is the trend that ties everything else together. Pinterest's seeing a real rise in searches for "nails with different colours on each hand", nobody's matching every finger anymore, and honestly, we've been saying this for a while: our Edits are designed to mix. Try a green from Matcha Mornings on one hand and a pink from Picnic Club on the other, Pistachio and Pink Lemonade is a lovely pairing if you want to try it (Pink Lemonade's buttery yellow undertone is a nice nod to the soft yellows showing up on Pinterest too). Or go bolder and pair a Matcha Mornings shade with something from Azure Escape. There's no wrong combination, that's really the whole point of the trend. If you want the full lineup to mix and match from, we pulled our whole spring range together in Inside The Spring Edit 2026. The biggest shift this spring? It's all about mixing. If there's one thread running through everything above, it's this: spring 2026 isn't about picking one trend and committing. It's dots on one set, greens the next, a floral sticker pressed over whatever you're already wearing. That's also what makes this season easy to recreate at home, nothing here needs to be perfect or matched. ย  Ready to shop the trends? Everything above is drawn from our current Spring Edit, browse the full collection to see how each mood works together, or explore our complete gel nail wrap range across every colour and finish. Laura + Bek ย  Pinterest Spring Nails FAQs Are these actual Pinterest trends, or just what LA-BEK likes right now? These six are drawn from Pinterest's own 2026 trend data and search growth, polka dots, jade greens, soft pastels, balletcore, cool blue and mismatched manis are all genuinely trending on the platform right now. We've matched them to shades from our current range rather than the other way around. โธป Do I need a UV lamp to recreate these looks? Depends which shade. Most of the wraps above are Semi-Cured, which need a UV lamp and wear 2+ weeks. Sea Foam Green and Sea Glass are UV-Free, no lamp, peel and press, wearing 7 to 10 days. The Spring Details stickers press onto either, no lamp required for the sticker itself. โธป Can I really mix shades from different moods on the same set, or even different hands? Yes, and it's genuinely one of this season's biggest trends. There's no rule that says a full set has to come from one mood or one Edit. Mixing is the point. โธป How long will these shades be around? They're part of our current Spring Edit, so they're seasonal. Some may earn a permanent spot in our everyday range once spring wraps up, others will retire or return next year. If a shade in this post has caught your eye, it's worth grabbing sooner rather than later. โธป How do I remove them without damaging my natural nails? Always use oil, never peel. Peeling can take layers of your natural nail off with it, which works against everything you're trying to do by wearing wraps in the first place. Spring nail art looks created with LA-BEK gel nail wraps and decals

No tutorial video this month, our brand reps have been busy creating instead, and honestly, their photos told us everything we needed. Three looks, three moods, all shoppable. Here's what's in each one and how we'd recreate it. Look 1: Sparkling Ribbons A glittery rosรฉ base with a soft white French tip built in, finished with one small bow on each nail. What's in it: Sparkling French Rosรฉ (Semi-Cured, Ballet Blush Edit) โ€” the base Mini Bows Nail Art Decals (Spring Details) โ€” the detail How we'd recreate it: Apply Sparkling French Rosรฉ as your full set and cure as normal. Once cured, pick up a Mini Bow decal with the metal end of your Precision Tweezers and press it just above the smile line on each nail (or just a couple, if you want it as an accent rather than all ten). No extra top coat needed, the shimmer's already built into the shade. Brand Rep Photo: Sparkling rosรฉ French mani with pink bow decals Look 2: Little Orchard A soft, everyday pink with one accent nail finished in a cluster of tiny fruits. What's in it: Pink Lemonade (Semi-Cured, Picnic Club Edit) โ€” the base Mini Fruits Nail Art Decals (Spring Details) โ€” the accent How we'd recreate it: Apply Pink Lemonade as your base set. Pick one nail as your accent (we love the ring finger) and finish it with two or three Mini Fruits decals clustered near the base, pressed down and sealed with your Precision Tweezers. Brand Rep Photo:ย Pink Lemonade nail with tiny fruit cluster decal Look 3: Lilac Lines A soft, chalky matte lilac with fine silver lines cutting across each nail at an angle. What's in it: Purple Rain (Semi-Cured, Azure Escape Edit) โ€” the base Silver Stripes Nail Art Decals โ€” the detail Matte Velvet Top Coat โ€” the finish How we'd recreate it: Apply Purple Rain as your full set and cure. Add one or two Silver Stripes decals on an angle across each nail, there's no wrong placement here, whatever feels balanced to your eye is right. Finish with Matte Velvet Top Coat and cure again for the soft matte look in the photos. Brand Rep Photo: Purple Rain nail with Silver Stripes decal ย  A note on mixing and matching None of these looks are locked to the exact products listed. Swap Purple Rain for any other Azure Escape shade, or trade the Silver Stripes for Gold Stripes if that's more your palette. The point isn't to copy exactly, it's to see how a base shade and one small detail can completely change a mani. If you want to build your own combination, ourย Build Your Own Nail Art Bundle lets you mix decals, gel liners and tape at a discount when you pick five. Laura + Bek ย  Spring Nail Art FAQs Do I need any nail art experience to recreate these looks? No. All three are decals or gel wraps pressed onto a base colour, not hand-painted art. If you can apply a wrap, you can do any of these. โธป What tool do I need to place the decals? Precision Tweezers. The metal end picks up and places decals exactly where you want them, no slipping, no shaky hands. โธป Do I need a top coat for all three looks? Only Look 3 needs one, the Matte Velvet Top Coat is what gives it that soft, chalky finish. Look 1's shimmer is already built into Sparkling French Rosรฉ, and Look 2 doesn't need one unless you want extra shine. โธป Can I mix Spring Details decals with other nail art in the range? Yes. Spring Details sits alongside our wider Nail Art collection, decals, gel liners and tape all mix and match freely. โธป Will these decals work with UV-Free wraps too? Yes. Decals press onto any finished mani, Semi-Cured or UV-Free. Press one on over any finished set, Semi-Cured or UV-Free, for a playful or elegant finishing touch. ย  How to build your spring mani wardrobe If you're not sure where to start, here's how we'd play it: Pick the mood that matches how you actually want to feel this spring. Soft and polished (Ballet Blush), easy and everyday (Matcha Mornings), playful (Picnic Club), or a bit more dramatic (Azure Escape). Mix across moods freely. They're designed to sit together, a Ballet Blush set one fortnight, an Azure Escape set the next. Add the UV-Free Edit for the weeks you want speed over anything else, no lamp, ten minutes, done. Two sets covers about a month of fresh manis. Three covers six weeks. The seasonal shades only come around once a year, so it's worth grabbing a couple while they're here. ย  Quick recap The Ballet Blush Edit: soft pinks and satin elegance The Matcha Mornings Edit: fresh greens and easy neutrals The Picnic Club Edit: playful pinks for sunny days The Azure Escape Edit: ocean blues and coastal gold The UV-Free Spring Edit: the same fresh palette, no lamp required Spring Details: stickers to finish any of the above Four moods, one lamp-free option, and a handful of stickers to make it yours. Ready to find your spring mani? Browse the full curated Spring Edit, all four moods, the UV-Free Edit and Spring Details in one place. Or explore the complete gel nail wrap collection across all seasons. New here? Our Semi-Cured Starter Kits bundle everything you need to start. Laura + Bek ย  The Spring Edit FAQs How long is the Spring Edit available? It's curated for the season and available while stock lasts. Once spring wraps up, some shades may earn a permanent spot in our everyday range, others will retire or return next spring. If a shade is calling your name, it's worth grabbing now. โธป Can I mix shades across different moods? Absolutely, and we'd recommend it. They're designed to sit together. A common combination is one Ballet Blush shade for polish and one Picnic Club or Azure Escape shade for a change of pace, rotated fortnightly. โธป Which mood is best for beginners? The easiest entry points are the UV-Free Spring Edit (no lamp, ten-minute application, peel and press) or Matcha Mornings (soft, forgiving neutrals that are kind to imperfect application). Either is a lovely place to start. โธป Do I need a UV lamp for these shades? For four of the six: yes. Ballet Blush, Matcha Mornings, Picnic Club and Azure Escape are all Semi-Cured wraps that need a UV LED lamp. The UV-Free Spring Edit needs no lamp at all, it's fully cured before it reaches you. โธป How long do they last? Semi-Cured wraps (Ballet Blush, Matcha Mornings, Picnic Club, Azure Escape): up to 2+ weeks. UV-Free wraps (UV-Free Spring Edit): 7 to 10 days. โธป What are the Spring Details stickers, and do they need a lamp too? They're nail art decals that press onto any finished mani, Semi-Cured or UV-Free. Seal them with a top coat for extra longevity if you're wearing Semi-Cured. โธป Will these shades come back next year? Some will earn a permanent spot in our everyday range. Others will return next spring, and a small handful may retire altogether if they don't find their audience. If a specific shade has captured you, this is your best window to grab it. โธป Are the new shades vegan and cruelty-free? Yes, every shade in every LA-BEK Edit is vegan and cruelty-free, across both Semi-Cured and UV-Free ranges. The Quiet Luxe periwinkle and rose gold nail art look

A soft, dove-grey periwinkle base with one fine rose gold line, and a single angled tip to finish it off Periwinkle is having a proper moment this year, that chalky, cool-toned blue-lilac that photographs beautifully and goes with almost everything. We wanted a nail art look that let the colour do the talking, so we kept the detail to one thing: a fine rose gold line. Most nails get a single thin stripe sitting close to the cuticle. One accent nail gets an angled tip instead, like a modern take on a French mani. That's it. No freehand, no patterns, no fuss. It's quiet, it's a little bit luxe, and it takes about ten minutes on top of your usual application. This is the third post in ourย Nail Art Tutorialsย series, the looks we actually wear, broken down step-by-step so you can recreate them at home. Catch up on Violet Moonlight and Night Black and Gold Strip Nail Artย if you missed them. Let's get into it. ย  The look at a glance Base:ย Periwinkle Semi-Cured Gel Nails, a soft, dove-grey blue-lilac with a cool, wearable edgeAccent:ย Rose Gold Stripes + Tips Nail Art Decals, fine rose gold line decals plus angled tip decals on the same sheetFinish: Gloss Top Coat, seals everything in and adds that glassy, wet-look shineTime:ย Around 10 minutes on top of your standard applicationSkill level:ย Beginner-friendly, no freehand, no brushes, just tweezers and a steady hand You don't need the stripe sitting in exactly the same spot on every nail, and you don't need the angled tip on the same finger every time. A little variation from nail to nail is part of what makes this look feel considered rather than stencilled on. That's the charm of it. ย  What you'll need Periwinkle Semi-Cured Gel NailsRose Gold Stripes + Tips Nail Art DecalsPrecision Tweezers: for clean, controlled decal placementGloss Top Coat: to seal and protect the finishUV LED lamp: to cure your gel wraps and top coatCuticle oil and a wooden cuticle stick/tweezersย for prep ย  Step-by-step: how to create the Quiet Luxe look Step 1: Prep your nails Start with clean, oil-free nails: - Push back your cuticles (ourย full guideย if you need a refresher)- Wipe each nail with a prep pad or rubbing alcohol- File and shape if needed Good prep is what turns a 5-day mani into a 2-week one. Don't rush this bit. ย  Step 2: Apply your Periwinkle wraps and cure Apply your Periwinkle Semi-Cured Gel Nails as normal: - Match each wrap to the size of your nail- Press firmly from cuticle to tip- Smooth out any air bubbles- File away the excess at the tips- Cure fully under your UV LED lamp If you're new to semi-cured application, ourย Semi-Cured Gel Nails How Toย tutorial walks through the whole process. ย  Step 3: Place your rose gold stripe near the cuticle Using yourย Precision Tweezers, gently lift a stripe decal from the sheet. Position it horizontally, sitting close to the cuticle line rather than across the middle of the nail. This is the detail that makes the look: a stripe near the base reads as a fine, jewellery-like line rather than a French tip. Press it flat with an orange stick or the flat edge of your tweezers, working from the centre outward to smooth out any air. Trim the excess at both edges with small nail scissors. Repeat on every nail except your chosen accent nail. ย  Step 4: Add the angled tip to your accent nail Pick one nail as your accent. We used the thumb, but the ring finger works just as well. Lift a tip decal from the same sheet and lay it across the upper corner of the nail at a slight angle, following the natural curve of the tip. Press flat, then trim to match the edge of your nail. It's a small detail, but it's what gives this look its slightly asymmetric, modern edge. ย  Step 5: Repeat and vary Work your way across both hands: rose gold stripe near the cuticle on most nails, angled tip on your accent nail. You don't need to mirror the placement exactly from hand to hand. A little natural variation is part of the look. ย  Step 6: Seal with Gloss Top Coat Apply a thin layer of [Gloss Top Coat](https://la-bek.com.au/product/gloss-top-coat/) over every nail, making sure you go all the way over the decals. Press the brush flat against the nail and sweep from cuticle to tip in one smooth pass. ย  Step 7: Final cure and enjoy Cure under your UV LED lamp as directed on the top coat. A little cuticle oil around the edges to finish, and your Quiet Luxe set is done. ย  ย  ย  Why this look works 1.ย Periwinkle is doing a lot of the work.ย It's one of the most talked-about shades this year: soft, cool-toned, and genuinely wearable, which means the nail art on top doesn't need to compete with it. 2.ย Fine metallic detail feels expensive right now.ย The trend has moved away from heavy glitter toward delicate, fine metallic accents, exactly what a single thin rose gold line gives you. 3.ย One decal sheet, two finishes.ย Stripes for a clean line, tips for an angled accent nail. You get two looks' worth of nail art from one set of decals. ย  Quick recap - Apply Periwinkle wraps as normal and cure fully- Pick a rose gold stripe from the sheet with precision tweezers- Position the stripe close to the cuticle line on each nail- Choose one accent nail and add an angled tip decal near the free edge- Press flat, trim the excess and repeat across both hands- Seal with Gloss Top Coat over every nail, including the decals- Final cure and enjoy Around 10 minutes on top of your standard application. Lasts 2+ weeks. Looks a lot more considered than it actually is. ย  Shop this look -ย Periwinkle Semi-Cured Gel Nails- Rose Gold Stripes + Tips Nail Art Decals-ย Precision Tweezers-ย Gloss Top Coat Buy the Quiet Luxe Nail Art Bundle Or browse the full Semi-Cured rangeย and Nail Art rangeย for more colours and decal styles to mix and match. ย  ย  Quiet Luxe Nail Art FAQs How long does this look take to do? Aroundย 10 minutes on top of your standard application: a few extra minutes for the stripes, a couple more for the angled tip on your accent nail. If it's your first time working with decals, give yourself closer to 15โ€“20 minutes so you're not rushing the placement. โธป Can I use the Rose Gold Stripes + Tips decals on UV-Free wraps instead of Semi-Cured? Yes, the decals work on ourย UV-Free wrapsย too. Keep in mind UV-Free wears for 7โ€“10 days rather than 2+ weeks, so the overall wear time will be shorter, but the application process is much the same. โธป Do I need the stripe in exactly the same spot on every nail? Not at all. Small variations from nail to nail (a touch higher, a touch lower) actually make the look feel more natural and less stencilled. Consistency isn't the goal here. โธป Which nail should I choose as my accent nail? Whichever one you like. We went with the thumb, but the ring finger is a classic choice if you want the accent to be the first thing people notice. There's no wrong answer. โธป Will the rose gold decals stay put through normal wear? Yes, sealing them under a thin layer of Gloss Top Coatย and curing under your UV lamp locks them in for the full life of the set, typically 2+ weeks with proper prep. The top coat step is the one to never skip. โธป Can I skip the accent tip and just do stripes on all ten nails? Absolutely. It's a lovely, simpler variation: one fine rose gold line on every nail, no angled tip at all. Equally, you could do tips on every nail and skip the stripes. The sheet gives you the flexibility either way. โธป Will this look damage my nails? No, LA-BEK Semi-Cured Gel Nails and our nail art decals are gentle on your natural nails when applied and removed properly. For the gentlest removal, head to ourย step-by-step removal guide: cuticle oil, patience, and no peeling. โธป Can I do this look on short nails? Yes, the stripe-near-cuticle placement actually suits shorter nails well, since it doesn't rely on length to work. For the angled tip, keep it a touch smaller so it doesn't overwhelm the nail. Laura'sย tips for short nailsย has more on adapting nail art for shorter lengths. โธป Written by Laura & BekFounders of LA-BEK, an Australian brand creatingย semi-cured gel nail wraps andย UV-free gel nail wrapsย designed to make salon-quality nails simple, at home.

Pinterest Winter Nails 2026: The Looks Everyone's Saving

If your Pinterest feed looks anything like ours, it's currently full of rich winter manicures and you've probably already saved at least three of them. Winter 2026 nails are feeling different. Less harsh, less overdone. More textured, luminous, and quietly luxurious. The looks getting saved right now aren't shouting, they're the kind you notice on someone across the room and think what colour is that? Here are the six trends we're seeing everywhere on Pinterest this season, and the LA-BEK shades that get you there at home. ย  ย  ย  1. Cherry Mocha Nails Move over classic burgundy. This winter, Pinterest is obsessed with rich cherry tones that lean warm, think deep berry with a hint of chocolate depth rather than the cool, dark red of winters past. Cherry Mocha nails feel expensive and cosy at the same time. The kind of shade that works with a chunky knit and a silk blouse. The secret is the warmth underneath the berry, it's what makes them feel different from a standard red. Cherry Red and Classic Burgundy (Velvet Nights) are your reliable starting points. For something with more depth and warmth, Sangria from the Midnight Frost Edit sits right in that cherry-cola territory. Going UV-Free? Burnt Umber from the Winter Layers Edit brings in that deep mahogany warmth with a lamp-free peel-and-press application. Shop Cherry Mocha Nails ย  ย  2. Cat Eye and Velvet Nails Velvet nails are holding strong on Pinterest, but this season the look has evolved. Instead of dramatic magnetic pulls, what's getting saved is softer and more luminous, a dimensional shimmer that shifts as it catches the light, like the surface of velvet fabric. Still striking, but wearable enough for a Tuesday. The shades to reach for: Deep Sea Cats Eye for that oceanic, magnetic depth. Purple Cats Eye for something that feels a little more classic and jewel-toned. If you want the velvety texture without the magnetic effect, Volcanic Speckle gives you a moody, dimensional base that photographs beautifully. A Matte Velvet Top Coat takes any of these to the next level โ€” switching from glossy to velvety in one coat. Shop Cats Eye Nail Range ย  ย  ย  3. Soft Cashmere Pinks Winter doesn't have to mean dark nails. One of Pinterest's quiet breakout trends this season is soft, feminine pink done properly not candy-bright, not baby shower. Think the pink of a cashmere scarf. Understated, romantic, and the kind of colour that makes your skin look great. These shades work especially well with glossy or glassy finishes, which add depth without adding drama. From our range, Transparent Pink is our most-loved pink for good reason. It's wearable on every skin tone and pairs beautifully with a gloss coat for that cashmere finish. Baby Pink goes even softer, a barely-there shade that still reads as polished rather than plain. For something with a little more dimension, Pink Pearl has that cool, luminous quality that shifts in the light, while Rose Garden brings a warmer, more romantic version of the same idea. And if you want a pink with a slightly dustier edge, the kind that reads more grown-up than sweet, Soft Pink is the one. Shop Pink Gel Nail Range ย  ย  ย  4. Espresso Glaze Nails Coffee nails are having their biggest moment yet, and the finish is everything. Warm brown, mocha and latte tones look rich and timeless on their own, but pair them with a high-gloss top coat and they become something else entirely. That glazed, reflective finish is what's all over Pinterest right now. From our range, Mocha is the warm chocolate classic, Oat Latte brings that creamy latte softness, and Classic Chocolate keeps it traditional and deeply wearable. If you prefer a lamp-free routine, Gigi Chocolate covers the same warm brown territory with a peel-and-press application, Burnt Umber takes it a touch deeper into mahogany, and Coffee Cream pulls back for a lighter, creamier take on the trend. Any of them, finished with a gloss top coat, gives you that lacquered glazed effect that's everywhere this season. Shop Coffee Inspired Nails ย  ย  ย  ย  5. Glossy Berry Nails Deep berry has always been a winter classic. What's changed this year is the finish. Pinterest is firmly in the glossy era, high-shine, reflective nails that look almost wet. Applied over a deep berry or plum, that finish makes the colour feel richer and more modern than the flat, matte versions of seasons past. This is a strong section for our range. Mulberry is the signature berry, reliable, rich, always right. Dusty Plum goes softer and more sophisticated. Classic Burgundy is the timeless choice. Berry Mixed adds soft layered undertones for something a little less expected. And Sangria brings shimmer into the berry mix, which under a gloss coat looks genuinely gorgeous. Pair any of these with a high-shine top coat for maximum impact. Shop Berry Inspired Nails 6. Glazed Sparkle Nails Glitter isn't going anywhere, but it's getting a lot more refined. Winter 2026 sparkle is softer, finer and more light-reflective. Think pearl and opal rather than disco ball. The kind of shimmer that works in daylight and at dinner. From our range: Opal Glitter is the essential, that soft, shifting opal shimmer that works on any nail length. Opal Freeze is cooler and more iridescent. Crimson Sparkle adds warmth and a hint of red to the sparkle. Sprinkle Glow Snow keeps it light and wintry. If there's one thread running through every trend above, it's this: Winter 2026 is less about choosing a bold colour and more about choosing the right finish. Velvet depth on a cat eye. Gloss over a deep berry. Iridescence in a soft pink. That's what's making this season's nail looks feel different, and it's also what makes them surprisingly easy to recreate at home. Night Black gel nails finished with gold strip nail art

One gold line. That's it. And somehow it changes everything. This is the nail art we keep coming back to when we want something that looks expensive without taking more than a few extra minutes. Night Black as the base, one thin gold strip placed horizontally across each nail, pressed flat, trimmed, and sealed under top coat. It's minimal, it's editorial, and it's genuinely beginner-friendly, no steady hands, no brushes, no artistic talent required. If you can use tweezers, you can do this look. Photo: Night Black Semi-cured Gel Nails and Gold Stripes Nail Decal ย  ย  The look at a glance Base: Night Black Semi-Cured Gel Nails a deep, high-gloss black that makes every accent popAccent: Gold Stripes Nail Art Decals ultra-thin gold lines pressed directly onto the cured gelFinish: Gloss Top Coat seals the strip in and adds that polished, wet-look shineTime: Around 5โ€“10 minutes on top of your standard application - Skill level: Beginner-friendly โ€” no brushes, no freehand, no artistic talent required The placement doesn't have to be identical on every nail. A slight variation in where the strip sits, higher on one finger, lower on another, actually makes the whole look feel more natural and intentional. That's part of its charm. ย  ย  What you'll need - Night Black Semi-Cured Gel Nails- Gold Stripes Nail Art Decals- Precision Tweezers the key tool for clean placement- Gloss Top Coat to seal and protect- UV LED lamp to cure your gel strips and top coat ย  ย  Step-by-step: how to do black and gold strip nail art at home Step 1 โ€” Apply your Night Black gel wraps as normal Follow the standard [semi-cured application process](/starter-kit/): prep your nails, peel, press, file, and cure. Make sure your nails are fully cured and smooth before adding any nail art on top. No need to apply top coat yet โ€” you'll add that at the very end to seal everything in. If you're new to applying our semi-cured wraps, our Semi-Cured Gel Nails How To tutorial is a perfect refresher. Step 2 โ€” Pick up your gold strip with precision tweezers The Gold Stripes Nail Art Decals come on a backing sheet with multiple thin gold lines โ€” you'll have plenty to work with. Using your precision tweezers, gently lift one strip from the sheet at one end. The strips are delicate, so take your time. You don't need to press hard โ€” a light grip is all it takes. Tip: Pick up the strip near one end, not the middle. It gives you more control when you're positioning it on the nail. Step 3 โ€” Position the strip across the nail Lay the strip horizontally across the nail, roughly in the middle or wherever feels right to you. One of the beauties of this look is that the placement doesn't have to be perfect or the same on every nail, a little variation actually makes it feel more natural and intentional. Hold one end of the strip down lightly with your tweezers while you let the rest of the strip fall across the nail surface. Tip: If the strip lands slightly crooked, you can gently nudge it with the flat side of your tweezers before pressing it down. Step 4 โ€” Press down and smooth Once the strip is where you want it, use your wooden stick or the flat end of your tweezers to gently press the strip flat against the nail surface. Work from the centre outward to either side to remove any air gaps or bubbles. The strip will adhere easily โ€” no glue or adhesive required. Step 5 โ€” Trim the excess Once the strip is pressed flat, use small nail scissors or nail snips to trim the excess strip at both edges of the nail. Trim as close to the nail edge as possible for a clean finish. Tip: Trim at a slight angle if needed to follow the natural curve of your nail edge. This gives a neater result than a straight cut. Step 6 โ€” Repeat and vary Apply a gold strip to each nail. You can keep the placement consistent (all strips in the same horizontal position) for a more structured look, or vary the height slightly from nail to nail for something more organic. You can also try applying two strips on some nails, or a diagonal angle on one accent nail. There's no wrong way. Step 7 โ€” Apply your gloss top coat and cure Once all your strips are on and trimmed, apply your Gloss Top Coat over the entire nail โ€” including over the gold strip. This seals everything in, protects the strip, and gives the whole mani that polished, high-shine finish. Cure under your UV LED lamp as directed on the top coat. That's it. You're done. The result A chic, wearable nail art look that takes under five minutes once your base is applied. The gold line catches light in the best way and looks incredible against a glossy black base. It works for every nail length and shape โ€” short, medium, long, square, almond, oval. The simplicity of the design means it always looks intentional. ย  ย  Ways to mix it up Once you're comfortable with the basic horizontal placement, there are a few easy variations to try: Double stripe: place two strips on each nail, slightly spaced apart, for a more graphic look. Diagonal: angle the strip across the nail instead of horizontal. Works especially well on longer nail shapes. Mixed placement: use the stripe on some nails and leave others plain. A clean black nail paired with gold-lined ones creates a really nice balance. Accent nail only: if you're not quite ready to do all ten, start with just one or two nails as a feature. A single gold stripe on a ring finger is effortlessly stylish. ย  ย  Quick recap - Apply Night Black semi-cured gel wraps as normal and cure- Pick up a gold strip from the sheet with precision tweezers- Position the strip horizontally across the nail- Press flat with an orange stick and trim the excess at each edge- Apply Gloss Top Coat over the entire nail, including the strip- Final cure and enjoy Around 5โ€“10 minutes of nail art on top of your standard application. Lasts the full two weeks. Looks like you paid for it. Shop NAIL ART Browse our full Nail Art Range for more colours, liners, and sticker designs to mix and match. ย  ย  Black and gold Nail Art FAQs Do I need any nail art experience for this look? Not at all, this is one of the most beginner-friendly nail art styles there is. The only tool you need is a pair of precision tweezers. There's no painting, no freehand work, and no artistic skill required. If the strip placement isn't perfect on your first try, you can gently reposition it before pressing down. It's very forgiving. โธป Will the gold strips stay on under top coat? Yes, applying a top coat over the strips is actually the most important step for longevity. The top coat seals the strip to the nail surface and protects it from catching or lifting at the edges. Without top coat, the strips can snag. With it, they'll last the full wear of your gel wraps. โธป How long will this nail art look last? Night Black semi-cured gel wraps wear for 2+ weeks with proper application and care. With the gold strips sealed under top coat, the nail art should last the full duration of your mani, you shouldn't need to touch it up between sets. โธป Can I use the gold strips on UV-free gel wraps instead? Yes, the Gold Stripes Nail Art Decals work on UV-free wraps too. Keep in mind that UV-free wraps wear for 7โ€“10 days rather than 2+ weeks, so the overall wear time will be shorter. The application process is the same. โธป How do I remove the gold strips at the end? You don't need to remove them separately. When it's time for your next mani, remove your gel wraps as normal using the standard removal process, the gold strips will come away with the wrap. Never peel. Always use cuticle oil and soak to release gently. โธป How many strips are on one decal sheet? The Gold Stripes Nail Art Decals sheet contains multiple thin gold lines โ€” enough to cover all ten nails with strips to spare for variations, fixes, and double-stripe looks. You'll find you get a lot of mileage from a single sheet. โธป Can I layer multiple gold strips on one nail? Yes, and it looks great. Two strips placed close together give a more graphic, architectural feel. Just make sure you seal all strips under a generous top coat layer for the best result. โธป What other colours work with the gold strips? Gold strips look stunning on deep, rich bases โ€” think dark plum, forest green, deep navy. They also work beautifully on a nude or cream base for a warmer, more delicate effect. Black just happens to be the most high-contrast pairing, which is why it's our favourite. โธป Do I need to apply the strips before or after curing? After curing your base gel wrap โ€” but before your final top coat layer. The sequence is: apply gel wrap โ†’ cure โ†’ apply gold strip โ†’ seal with top coat โ†’ cure. This ensures the strip is locked in under the top coat for maximum durability. ย  ย  Written by Laura & Bek Founders of LA-BEK, an Australian brand creating semi-cured gel nail wraps and UV-free gel nail wraps designed to make salon-quality nails simple, at home.

Inside The Winter Nail Edit 2026: Five Curated Moods for the Cooler Month

The Winter Nail Edit is live. We've curated this year's winter range into five distinct moods โ€” each one designed for a different moment of the cooler season. One Edit is our always-here foundation. The other four are curated for this season โ€” and over time, some of these shades will earn their place in our always-available core, while others won't return until next winter. Here's what's inside, what each Edit is for, and how to build your winter mani wardrobe across them. A quick note on what's seasonal vs always available Before we dive in โ€” a small map. - The Velvet Nights Edit is our year-round core. These twelve shades have earned their place โ€” they're here all year because they're the ones you reach for again and again.- The Winter Muse, Midnight Frost, After Dark and Winter Layers Edits are curated for this winter. Some of these shades will graduate into our always-available core if they become customer favourites. Others will rotate out at the end of the season and return next winter. If a shade is calling your name, it's worth grabbing โ€” we don't always know which way it'll go. Photo: Mulberry Semi-cured Gel Nails The Winter Muse Edit Soft neutrals and understated tones, made for effortless styling. This is the Edit for the days you want polished without effort. Warm milky neutrals, dusty pinks, soft plums โ€” the kind of shades that go with everything in your winter wardrobe without competing for attention. It's the "elevated everyday" tier of the Winter range. Quiet, refined, and the kind of mani that gets compliments from people who can't quite put their finger on what's different about you today. What's in the Edit: - Berry Mixed โ€” soft layered berry undertones- Dusty Plum โ€” gentle, dusty, sophisticated- French White โ€” the eternal classic, here for the cooler months- Mauve Gold Dip โ€” dusty mauve with a hint of gold warmth- Moon Child โ€” dreamy, pearly, cool-toned- Peach Sunday โ€” warm transition neutral Perfect for: the office, school runs, dinners with the in-laws, that one girlfriend who notices everything. Anyone who wants their nails to feel finished without feeling done. Photo: Mauve Gold Dip Semi-cured Gel Nails The Midnight Frost Edit Cool shimmer and icy finishes inspired by crisp winter nights. The cool-toned, shimmery Edit. Volcanic, frosted, sparkling โ€” these are the shades for the months when the air bites a little and you want your nails to catch every bit of light that's available. If Winter Muse is your "quiet refined" register, Midnight Frost is your "I want a bit of magic in my mani" register. What's in the Edit: - Crimson Sparkle โ€” warm red with a hit of shimmer- Deep Sea Cats Eye โ€” magnetic, moody, oceanic depth- Opal Freeze โ€” pearlescent, almost iridescent- Sangria โ€” rich plum-wine with shimmer- Sprinkle Glow Snow โ€” soft sparkle, lighter base- Volcanic Speckle โ€” moody base with subtle scattered shimmer Perfect for: end-of-year parties, dinner dates, weekend brunches, anytime you want a little glow without going full sequin. The kind of mani that photographs beautifully under any light. Photo: Opal Freeze Semi-cured Gel Nail Wraps The After Dark Edit Bold winter shades for nights that call for something a little extra. This is the Edit for the days you want your nails to *say something*. Deep jewel tones, oceanic blues, midnight greens โ€” the colours that look incredible against a silk blouse, a chunky knit, or a glass of red. It's the smallest Edit (5 shades) but the most considered. Each one earns its place. What's in the Edit: - Amethyst Eclipse โ€” deep purple with subtle aurora shift- Cobalt Blue โ€” a true, glossy, statement blue- Forest Green โ€” rich, slightly mysterious, gets compliments every time- Jade Eclipse โ€” emerald-toned green with depth- Sapphire Eclipse โ€” deep ocean blue with shimmer Perfect for: date nights, work events where you want to feel powerful, evenings that started as "casual dinner" and ended somewhere else entirely. Photo: Jade Eclipse Semi-cured Gel Nail Wraps The Winter Layers Edit (UV-Free) Rich, grounded tones inspired by winter layering. This Edit lives in our UV-Free range โ€” fully cured, lamp-free, peel-and-press. Same gel quality, faster routine. Made for the days when you want a fresh set in 10 minutes flat. The palette mirrors what you're already wearing this winter โ€” burnt umber, charcoal, moss, eggplant, bottle green, royal blue. Earthy, layered, grounded. What's in the Edit: - Burnt Umber โ€” deep mahogany-oxblood- Charcoal โ€” the cool-girl alternative to black- Moss โ€” earthy, grounded, surprisingly versatile- Eggplant โ€” regal, jewel-toned- Bottle Green โ€” a vintage classic- Royal Blue โ€” a wardrobe-staple deeper register Perfect for: anyone new to gel wraps, frequent travellers (no lamp to pack), busy weeks when you want salon-quality without the time investment. Photo: Bottle Green UF-Free Gel Nail Wraps The Velvet Nights Edit Your always-available winter classics Now to the foundation. The Velvet Nights Edit isn't a seasonal drop โ€” these are the twelve shades we keep stocked all year because they're the ones you reach for again and again. All in our Semi-Cured range, all $19.95. If the four seasonal Edits above are this season's curated discovery, Velvet Nights is the wardrobe of winter shades you can always come back to. (Many of these earned their permanent spot by being seasonal favourites โ€” and any shade in the seasonal Edits above could be next.) What's in the Edit: Cherry Red, Classic Burgundy, Cosmic Chic, Lavender Whip, Mulberry, Navy Pool, Night Black, Olive, Opal Glitter, Purple Cats Eye, Secret Garden, Violet Luster. A red for the days you want a red. A black for the days you want a black. A green that's grown-up. A plum that goes with everything. The kind of range that makes building a "nail wardrobe" actually possible. Photo: Olive Semi-cured Gel Nail Wraps How to build your winter mani wardrobe If you're not sure where to start, here's how we'd play it: - Pick one Velvet Nights classic as your reliable go-to (Mulberry and Classic Burgundy are perennial winter favourites)- Add one seasonal shade that excites you โ€” go bold with After Dark, soft with Winter Muse, shimmery with Midnight Frost, or earthy with Winter Layers- Rotate. A fortnight in one. Fresh set in the other. Repeat. Two sets covers about a month of fresh manis. Three covers six weeks. The seasonal shades only come around once a year, so grabbing a couple to layer in alongside your Velvet Nights staple is genuinely the move. Photo: Cobalt Blue Semi-cured Gel Nail Wraps Quick recap - The Winter Muse Edit โ€” soft neutrals, effortless styling (seasonal)- The Midnight Frost Edit โ€” cool shimmer and icy finishes (seasonal)- The After Dark Edit โ€” bold jewel-toned statements (seasonal)- The Winter Layers Edit (UV-Free) โ€” earthy grounded tones, lamp-free (seasonal)- The Velvet Nights Edit โ€” your always-available winter classics Four moods for this season. One foundation for every season. Ready to find your winter mani? Browse the full curated Winter Nail Edit โ€” all five Edits in one place. Or explore the complete gel nail wrap collection across all seasons. Or if you're new here, our Semi-Cured Starter Kits and UV-Free Starter Kits bundle everything you need to start. The Winter Nail Edit FAQs How long are the seasonal Edits available? The four seasonal Edits โ€” Winter Muse, Midnight Frost, After Dark and Winter Layers โ€” are curated for the cooler months. Once winter wraps up (usually around early September in Australia), each shade goes one of two ways: it either graduates into our always-available core, or it rotates out and returns next winter. We don't always know which will be which โ€” that's partly decided by which shades you love most. If something is calling your name, it's safest to grab it now. The Velvet Nights Edit is always available year-round. โธป What's the difference between Velvet Nights and the seasonal Edits? Velvet Nights is our always-stocked core โ€” 12 winter classics that earn their place every year. The other four Edits are curated seasonal drops โ€” fresh shades and finishes designed for this specific winter, available for a limited time. Think of Velvet Nights as your wardrobe staples. The seasonal Edits are the runway pieces that come and go. โธป Can I mix shades across different Edits? Absolutely โ€” and we'd recommend it. A common combination:- One Velvet Nights classic (your reliable go-to)- One seasonal shade (your "for now" mood) Rotate between them across the season. Two fresh sets cover about a month. Three cover six weeks. โธป Which Edit is best for beginners? If you're brand new to gel wraps, the easiest entry points are: - The Winter Layers Edit (UV-Free) โ€” no lamp needed, 10-minute application, peel and press- The Winter Muse Edit โ€” soft neutrals that are forgiving with imperfect application Either is a beautiful place to start. โธป Do I need a UV lamp for these shades? For four of the five Edits โ€” yes: - Velvet Nights, Winter Muse, Midnight Frost, and After Dark are all Semi-Cured wraps that need a UV LED lamp. For The Winter Layers Edit (UV-Free) โ€” no lamp required. They're fully cured during manufacture. If you don't have a UV lamp yet, our Semi-Cured Starter Kits include everything you need in one box. โธป How long do they last? - Semi-Cured wraps (most of the Winter Edit): up to 2+ weeks- UV-Free wraps (Winter Layers Edit): 7โ€“10 days For tips on getting the longest wear from any set, our Why Are My Gel Nail Wraps Lifting? 7 Quick Fixes post covers everything. โธป Will the new seasonal shades come back next year? Some will graduate into our always-available core (so they're with us all year). Others will return next winter. A small handful may retire altogether if they don't find their audience. Customer favourites genuinely shape this โ€” the shades you love most are the ones most likely to earn permanent status. If a specific shade has captured you, this is your best window to grab it. โธป What about the Autumn Edit shades I love โ€” are they still available? Once a seasonal Edit ends, most shades come off the site once sold out. A handful of all-time bestsellers move into the always-available core (which is how the Velvet Nights Edit grows year by year). The best way to keep favourites available across seasons is to grab a set or two while they're live โ€” or join our newsletter to hear before each seasonal Edit changes over. โธป Are the new shades vegan and cruelty-free? Yes โ€” every shade in every LA-BEK Edit is vegan and cruelty-free, across both Semi-Cured and UV-Free ranges. Written by Laura & BekFounders of LA-BEK, an Australian brand creating semi-cured gel nail wraps and UV-free gel nail wraps designed to make salon-quality nails simple, at home.

Violet Moonlight: A Step-by-Step Festival Nail Art Look

Inspired by the Seven Sisters Festival โ€” silver moons, scattered stars, and a deep violet base A few weeks ago, I was getting ready for Seven Sisters Festival and wanted my nails to match the vibe โ€” feminine, a little bit witchy, and properly celestial. What I ended up with: a different design on every nail. Silver moons on some, scattered stars on others, fine silver lines on the rest, all over a deep, shimmery violet base. It looked like wearing a little night sky on my hands. And the best part? It's much easier than it looks. This is the first post in our new Nail Art Tutorials series โ€” bringing you the looks we wear ourselves, step-by-step, with everything you need to recreate them at home. Let's get into it. ย  ย  The look at a glance - Base: Violet Luster Semi-Cured Gel Nailsโ€” a deep, shimmery purple with subtle holographic flecks- Accents: A mix of Silver Moons, Silver Stars, and freehand details using Silver Gel Liner- Finish: Gloss Top Coat for that wet-look celestial shine- Time: Around 30 minutes from start to finish- Skill level: Beginner-friendly โ€” no freehand drawing required The whole point of this look is that no two nails need to match. You can scatter the elements however feels right to you. That's part of the charm. Photo: Violet Moon Nail Art Bundle ย  ย  What you'll need Everything in the Violet Moon Nail Art Bundle โ€” designed to give you exactly what you need to recreate this look at home: - 1 set of Violet Luster Semi-Cured Gel Nails- 1 sheet of Silver Moons Nail Art Decals- 1 sheet of Silver Stars Nail Art Decals- 1 Silver Gel Liner- 1 Gloss Top Coat- 1 pair of Precision Tweezers โ€” the secret weapon for clean sticker placement Plus, you'll also want: - A UV LED lamp- Cuticle oil and a wooden cuticle stick for prep Shop the Violet Moon Bundle โ†’ ย  ย  Step-by-step: How to create the Violet Moonlight look Step 1 โ€” Prep your nails Start with clean, oil-free nails:- Push back your cuticles (we've got a full guide here)- Wipe each nail with a prep wipe or rubbing alcohol- File and shape if neededGood prep makes the difference between a 5-day look and a 2-week look. Don't skip it. Step 2 โ€” Apply your Violet Luster wraps Apply your Violet Luster Semi-Cured Gel Nails as normal:- Match each wrap to the size of your nail- Press firmly from cuticle to tip- Smooth out any air bubbles- File away the excess at the tips Don't cure yet โ€” we're going to add the stickers first, before the final top coat cure. If you're new to applying our semi-cured wraps, our Semi-Cured Gel Nails How To tutorial is a perfect refresher. Step 3 โ€” Place your moon and star stickers Here's where it gets fun. Using your Precision Tweezers, gently remove a sticker from the sheet and place it where you like on the nail. Some ideas from how I styled mine: - Ring finger: a single crescent moon, centred- Middle finger: one larger star and one smaller star, scattered- Index finger: two or three tiny stars near the tip- Pinky: a single accent moon or star- Thumb: clean (or add a star if you like the symmetry) There's no wrong way to do it. Mix moons and stars however you fancy. The slightly random placement is what gives it that effortless celestial look. Press each sticker firmly into place โ€” the rubber end of the Precision Tweezers is brilliant for this. Step 4 โ€” Add fine silver gel liner details On the nails where you didn't add stickers (or to add to the ones you did), use your Silver Gel Liner to add: - Fine vertical streaks (like falling starlight)- Tiny silver dots scattered like distant stars- A small cluster of lines near the cuticle for a subtle accent Less is more here. A few quick strokes is all you need. The liner is forgiving โ€” you can wipe back any mistakes with a wooden stick before curing. You can cure between fingers if you're worried about smudging. Cure your gel liner under your UV LED lamp (60 seconds is usually plenty) before moving to the top coat. If gel liner is new to you, the application videos on our nail art page walk you through the technique. Step 5 โ€” Seal with Gloss Top Coat Apply a thin layer of Gloss Top Coat over each nail. Make sure you go all the way over your stickers and gel liner โ€” sealing everything in is what makes this set last even longer than 2+ weeks. Press the brush flat against the nail and sweep from cuticle to tip. Avoid going back and forth โ€” one smooth pass is best. Step 6 โ€” Final cure Pop your hands back under the UV LED lamp for one final cure. 60 seconds and you're done. Step 7 โ€” Enjoy Step back, admire, and start mentally planning what you're wearing with them. Your Violet Moonlight set is complete. ย  ย  Why this look works Three things make this design feel polished even though it's beginner-friendly: 1. The base does the heavy lifting. Violet Luster's deep, shimmery finish creates a "night sky" canvas that makes any silver accent look intentional. 2. Mismatched nails are the point. You're not trying to make all ten match โ€” you're creating a scattered, celestial feel. That's why it works on any skill level. 3. Stickers + liner = layered detail without the freehand pressure. Stickers give you the clean shapes, liner adds the organic lines. Around 30 minutes from start to finish, including prep, sticker placement, gel liner work, top coat, and curing. If it's your first time using gel liner or placing stickers, allow yourself a bit longer โ€” say 45 minutes โ€” so you're not rushing. โธป Can I do this look with UV-Free wraps instead of Semi-Cured? Not quite โ€” this specific look needs Semi-Cured wraps because:- The Silver Gel Liner needs to cure under a UV lamp- The Gloss Top Coat is also UV-cured If you don't have a UV lamp, you can still get a beautiful celestial look using UV-Free wraps + stickers only (skip the gel liner step, and use the stickers more generously). It won't have the freehand silver detail, but it'll still look gorgeous. โธป Do I need to use all three accent elements (gel liner + both sticker types)? Not at all. This look is endlessly customisable. You can simplify it by:- Using only the moons for a softer, lunar feel- Using only the stars for a more sparkle-forward look- Skipping the gel liner if you want pure sticker accents- Going liner-only if you prefer minimalism The bundle gives you all the elements so you can mix and match across multiple manis. โธป Will the stickers stay put through normal wear? Yes โ€” when you seal them with a thin layer of Gloss Top Coat and cure under your UV lamp, the stickers are locked in for the full life of the set (typically 2+ weeks with proper prep). The key is the top coat. Don't skip it. โธป Can I do this look without a UV lamp? Not exactly as shown โ€” the silver gel liner and gloss top coat both need UV curing. But you can absolutely create a celestial-inspired UV-Free version using:- A dark UV-Free base (try Ebony or Pacific Blue)- Silver Moon and Star stickers pressed firmly into place- A UV-Free finishing wipe or matte top option if available It won't have the fine liner detail, but it'll still look stunning. โธป What if I'm not confident with gel liner? Two tips that make all the difference: - Start light โ€” you can always add more strokes, but it's harder to take away- Wipe back mistakes with a wooden stick or cotton bud before you cure โ€” once it's under the lamp, it's set Or skip the liner entirely. The stickers alone give you a beautiful look. You can always practise the liner technique on a single nail next time. โธป Will this look damage my nails? No โ€” LA-BEK Semi-Cured Gel Nails (and our nail art) are gentle on your natural nails when applied and removed properly. For the gentlest removal, head to our step-by-step removal guideโ€” cuticle oil, patience, and no peeling. โธป Can I do this look on shorter nails? Absolutely โ€” and it actually translates beautifully to shorter nails. The scattered placement style means you don't need length to make it work. A few tweaks for short nails:- Use smaller stickers or fewer per nail- Keep the gel liner streaks shorter and finer- Place accents closer to the tip rather than the centre For more on adapting looks to shorter nails, Laura's Top Tips for Short Nails has you covered. โธป What festival or event is this look perfect for? Festival nails were the inspiration (mine were for Seven Sisters Festival), but this look works beautifully for:- Festivals + outdoor music events- New Year's Eve- Birthday dinners- Anytime you want to feel a little bit witchy It's not just a "going out" look โ€” the deep violet base means it's surprisingly wearable day-to-day too. ย  ย  Written by Laura & BekFounders of LA-BEK, an Australian brand creating semi-cured gel nail wraps and UV-free gel nail wraps designed to make salon-quality nails simple, at home.

What Are the Five Basic Nail Art Designs?

Nail art doesn't have to mean complicated patterns or hours spent at a salon. In fact, some of the most popular designs are built on simple foundations. Whether you're using semi-cured gel nail wraps cured under a lamp or your new UV-free gel nail wraps, mastering a few basic nail art styles can completely transform your at-home manicure. If you're just getting started, these are the five essential nail art designs to know โ€” plus how to recreate them easily with the right tools. What Is Considered Basic Nail Art? Basic nail art usually includes simple shapes, clean lines, and minimal detailing that can be achieved without professional tools. Think: French tips Dots Straight or curved lines Accent nails Minimal patterns Accent Stickers They're called "basic" because they use clean shapes and minimal detail โ€” but they still look polished and professional. When applied over semi-cured gel nail wraps or UV-free gel nail wraps, these simple designs can last up to two weeks when sealed properly with a Gloss Top Coat or Matte Top Coat. The secret to beautiful basic nail art isn't complexity โ€” it's clean lines and precision. The Classic French Tip The French tip is arguably the most iconic nail art design of all time. Traditionally, it features: A soft pink or nude base A crisp white tip Using your Curve & Create tape, you can easily form a crisp, symmetrical smile line โ€” even if you're a beginner. Simply apply the curved tape, paint your tip using one of your Gel Liners (White, Gold, or Silver), remove the tape carefully with precision tweezers, and cure if needed. This works beautifully over both semi-cured gel nail wraps and UV-free gel nail wraps, giving you salon-quality structure at home. Why it's great for beginners: Clean and forgiving Looks professional instantly Works on short or long nails - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Photo: Luna Glow Semi-Cured Gel Nail Wraps featuring a range of styles including free hand dot. Used Curve & Create tape and Silver Gel Liner. 2. Minimal Dots Dots are one of the easiest nail art ideas for beginners. You can: Add a single dot near the cuticle Create a vertical dotted line Do polka dots across the entire nail They require minimal precision but still feel intentional and playful. Using your Gel Liners makes dot placement more controlled than regular polish. And when working over gel nail wraps, you don't have to worry about smudging โ€” especially when sealing with a Gloss or Matte Top Coat. A dotting tool works best, but even the tip of a liner brush or toothpick can work for DIY nail art. Dots are ideal for short nails and look modern without being overwhelming. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Photo: Blush Pink Semi-Cured Gel Nail Wraps featuring a straight gold tip created with Curve & Create tape and Gold Gel Liner, sealed with Gloss Top Coat. 3. Straight Lines Simple straight lines can transform a plain manicure into a modern statement. Try: A vertical line down the centre A diagonal corner accent Double thin stripes Negative space line art Using Curve & Create tape helps create perfectly sharp edges. After applying your base (either semi-cured or UV-free gel nail wraps), position the tape, apply your Gold or Silver Gel Liner, remove carefully with tweezers, then cure and seal. Straight lines are especially flattering on short nails because they elongate the nail visually. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Photo: Lavender Semi-Cured Gel Nail Wraps featuring a straight gold tip created with Curve & Create tape and Gold Gel Liner. 4. Curved Lines & Arches Curved designs are trending heavily in modern nail art. Soft arches, wave lines, and curved French tips feel fresh but remain simple. This is where Curve & Create tape truly shines โ€” allowing you to: Build symmetrical arches Layer curved designs Create reverse French tips Combine metallic and matte finishes Try pairing a neutral semi-cured gel nail wrap with a metallic arch using your Gold Gel Liner, then finish with a Matte Top Coat for contrast. Curves feel elevated while remaining beginner-friendly. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Photo: Sage French Tip with Daisy Sticker accent nail 5. Accent Nails If doing art on every finger feels intimidating, start with one. Accent nails involve: One detailed nail per hand One metallic line feature One French tip variation One glitter overlay Using semi-cured gel nail wraps as your base gives you structure and durability, while UV-free gel nail wraps are perfect for quick changes and easy removal. Accent nails allow you to experiment without pressure โ€” and they're incredibly wearable. What Are Some Easy Nail Art Ideas for Beginners? If you're just starting, keep it simple and structured: French tip using curved tape One vertical gold line Single dot at the base Glitter tip over a nude base Minimal arch design Use stickers paired with top coat When working with gel nail wraps, you have more control compared to traditional polish. Designs stay put until cured, which helps prevent smudging and uneven edges. Using tools like precision tweezers makes positioning and sealing the tape and detailing much easier Beginner rule: simple shapes > complicated patterns. Is Nail Art Easier With Gel or Regular Polish? This is a common question โ€” and the answer depends on control and curing time. Regular polish: Air dries Can smudge while working Less forgiving if you need to adjust Gel (including semi-cured gel nail wraps and structured gel liners): Stays workable until cured Allows more precision Reduces smudging Creates sharper lines For beginners, gel systems are often easier because you can take your time before curing. When sealed with a Gloss Top Coat, your design gains shine and durability. If you prefer a softer look, a Matte Top Coat can completely transform the finish. Which Nail Art Is Best for Beginners? The easiest designs to master: French tips Single straight lines Minimal dots Accent nail styles Using Stickers These designs: Require fewer tools Look polished even if not perfect Work on short nails Can be done in under 15 minutes Confidence grows with repetition โ€” and clean tools make a big difference. With structured tools like Curve & Create tape and controlled Gel Liners, even beginners can achieve clean results. DIY Nail Art for Short Nails Short nails are perfect for minimal nail art. Try: Micro French tips Single metallic line Half-moon reverse French Tiny dots near the cuticle Diagonal corner block Using semi-cured gel nail wraps provides a strong base that lasts, while UV-free gel nail wraps are great if you prefer flexibility and quicker removal. Avoid overcrowding small nail beds. Negative space and fine detailing often look the most balanced. You don't need to be a professional nailartist to create beautiful designs at home.
