Here's the trade-off nobody warns you about: the moment you decide to grow your natural nails out, you also decide to look at bare, uneven, slowly-lengthening nails for months. Clean nails, gently pushed-back cuticles. If your nails are badly damaged, spend a week on cuticle balm and nail care first before applying anything. Step 2: apply your protective wraps. Semi-cured gel wraps create the protective layer that shields your nails from everyday breakage while they grow. Once cured under a UV lamp, they form a strong gel manicure that lasts 2+ weeks. Step 3: nourish nightly. Apply cuticle balm each night to keep the nail and cuticle area hydrated while your wraps are on. Healthy cuticles support stronger growth over time. Step 4: remove gently. When it's time to take a set off, use cuticle oil to loosen the wraps rather than peeling them or soaking in acetone. This is the step that protects everything you've just spent two weeks building. Press it flat with an orange stick or the flat edge of your tweezers, working from the centre outward to smooth out any air. Trim the excess at the edges with small nail scissors. • How to Apply

  Short answer: yes, and honestly, toes might be the easier win. We get this one a lot, people assume our wraps are a fingers-only thing and either skip the idea of a home pedicure altogether or reach for regular polish instead. Neither's necessary. We've got a full toe-specific range, and once you've done a set, you'll probably wonder why you didn't start there. Are toe wraps actually different from the finger ones? Yes, genuinely. They're not just finger wraps cut down to size. Our toe wraps are cut and sized specifically for toenails from the start, wider and shaped for edge-to-edge coverage on a nail that's a different proportion to your fingers. Same real gel, same 60% cure straight out of the pack, just built for the right nail. How they work Exactly the same process as our regular wraps: peel, press, file to shape, then cure for 60 seconds under any UV or LED lamp. The gel sets hard and you're looking at 2+ weeks of wear, same as your hands. Don't have toe wraps on hand? Use your finger leftovers You don't strictly need the toe-specific range to get started either. Every pack of our regular finger wraps comes with multiple sizes, and toenails are almost always smaller than fingernails, so the smallest strips left over after doing your hands are often a perfect fit for toes. It's a handy way to match fingers and toes exactly using what you've already got, no separate pack required. That said, if you want proper edge-to-edge coverage on every toe (especially bigger toes), the dedicated toe range is cut for that from the start. The bit that surprises people: toes often last longer Toenails tend to give even longer wear than fingernails, simply because they take less daily punishment. No typing, no constant hand-washing, no catching on zippers. A set applied before a holiday will comfortably see you through the whole trip.     Getting them to last A few things make a real difference: Clean, dry, oil-free nails before you start. Same rule as fingers, oil is the enemy of adhesion. File downward, not back and forth, once you've trimmed to shape. Sawing back and forth is what causes splitting. A real customer email, lightly edited for length. Name changed and no photos included, at her request.   Every so often an email lands in our inbox that stops us in our tracks. This one did. It's from a customer we're calling Ellie, and it's about hands, habits, and giving yourself permission to feel proud of something so small. Ellie picked her nails her whole life. "Down to the wick" is how she put it. She'd tried everything to stop and nothing had stuck. Then two mates who already wore la-bek put wraps on her thumbnails during a weekend away in May, half as a joke, half as an intervention. They lasted less than 24 hours. But something about seeing polish on her nails, even briefly, was enough. She let her real nails grow for two weeks before trying wraps on her own for the first time.
